I have my Christmas cards all ready to be sent out.  I worked on them over the weekend and finished them all up.  They are sitting on top of my piano so that when George goes out to get the mail, he can take our cards and put them in the mail box for tomorrow.

But today I saw these great Photo Christmas Cards that I would love to use for next year.  I love how Christmas Cards Direct service works.  You can personalize your Christmas cards with your favorite picture.  For me- picking a favorite picture would be pretty hard.  I am just an average picture taker- not professional at all.  And there are some really great tips available on their site to make sure you are getting the best pictures possible.  Even if you’re not having a picture printed on your Christmas cards- these tips are worth reading.

Anyhoo- once you pick your picture you can decide what kind of card you want- a card where your picture is actually printed.  Or a card where you can insert a picture onto the card.  And there are some really great choices which ever way you decide to go.

As far as pricing goes- I think the prices are reasonable.  This year we are sending out pictures we had taken professionally.  But, if we had our own picture we could have printed on the cards- I think the cost would be very comparable.

If you haven’t done your Christmas cards yet- check out Christmas Cards Direct (Hurry!  Christmas is next week!)  And if you’re like me and have already done your cards- keep them in mind for next year.

For My Precious Queen

My Precious Queen is my 10 year old dog.  I love that dog like she is a child.  For years she was my only child.  While we struggled with infertility and miscarriages Precious Queen was there for me.  She has been there for me over the years and I do my best to treat her like the Queen that she is.

One thing that I hate to do is go away and leave her in the kennel (or the “pound” as George refers to it).  She always comes home dirty and smelling like pee.  I finally found a place that I can take her and feel comfortable with- but it is 3 hours away.  Yup- 3 hours.  It is located in the same town that my parents live in and it is the place that they take their dog to.  But, it can be a bit inconvenient to take her there every time we go away.

I found a Dog Daycare today that I would like to try out with my Precious Queen.  At Camp Bow Wow your dog can spend a day while you are out getting your errands done, or your dog can stay overnight while you are out of town.  The feature I love the most is that you can watch your dog on the live camper cam- to see what is going on.  It would be so comforting to be able to see my Precious Queen having fun while I am away.

I am really thrilled that there is a Camp Bow Wow is my area!  I think that Precious Queen would enjoy staying here and I am most definitely going to check this out for the next time we go away.

Feeling Lazy

I feel so lazy these days.  I have a million things that I should be getting done and yet I sit around in my pajamas and don’t do anything.  I need to clean, I need to go grocery shopping, I need to get my Christmas shopping done, I need to do my Christmas baking, the laundry is piling up, etc.  But I just don’t feel like doing anything.  I continue to feel more and more depressed as time goes by.

Make Sure You Are Insured

As if I don’t have a long enough list of worries- insurance has been added to my list.  George and I do not have any health insurance.  Stupid and crazy, I know.  But we don’t qualify for insurance from our state and we can’t afford to buy our own plan.

We do have our home insured and our cars insured though.  And of course this is very important to have (although not as important as health insurance, in my opinion).  If you are uninsured in aspect of life I suggest that you look into getting insurance.  If you need health insurance, like we do, shop around and find something you can afford.

If you are in need of car or motorbike insurance you can get some great plans from the Autonet Insurance Group.  They have quite a bit of information to assist you in your insurance decisions on their site.  And of course, you can also call to get your quote.

Life tends to throw us some curve balls now and then.  And while you probably don’t expect to be in an accident- no one plans to have an accident.  So get everything situated and in order before something happens and make sure you are insured.
