Stupid Argument

George and I had a stupid argument this morning.  Actually it was mostly George.  I tried not to say anything so it wouldn’t turn into a huge thing.

I gave Peanut her milk at breakfast in a cup that I don’t usually use for her milk.  I don’t know if this is weird or not- I have 2 sippy cups that are for water (they have straws and tend to leak, so I don’t put milk in them) then I have 2 other sippy cups for milk (they do not leak at all).  Then there are 2 other sippy cups that have Peanut’s name on them and are used for church and playgroups.  So, I gave her milk in one of her cups with her name on it because I couldn’t find the others (I figured they were in the dishwasher, which needs to be run).

So, George asked why I was using that cup and I told him.  So, then he started yelling at me about her cup that was full of milk that was still sitting downstairs in the family room from last night.  Apparently it was my fault that the milk was left down there because last night even though he was the one who was down there with her.  It was my fault though because when I asked him where her milk was while Peanut was eating her snack he told me it was downstairs.  Well, I was busy getting Peanut her snack and then putting her to bed.  So I forgot about going to get it.  And so George started this huge argument over the wasted milk.

Apparently the argument was really about how I don’t listen, according to George.  Either way I think it’s down right ridiculous to start a fight about that.

Thanksgiving Plans

I can not believe that Thanksgiving will be here in less than a week.  Where has the month of November gone?  Actually where has 2008 gone?  It’s so true- the older I get the faster time goes by.

I love Thanksgiving.  It’s always been one of my favorite days of the year.  I love being with my family, I love eating yummy food, I love the shopping that we do the day after.  I just love it all!

Every year for Thanksgiving we travel to my parents house and spend the holiday weekend there.  My mom always has some amazing decorations to set the mood for holiday.  While I do not actually host Thanksgiving at my house I still like having my beautiful fall and Thanksgiving decorations out.

So today I was looking at Thanksgiving centerpieces.  And I found one that I would love to have sitting on my table right now.

Even though we won’t actually be on Thanksgiving day I would totally enjoy looking at that amazing center piece while we are home.

Did you know that you can get amazing centerpieces just like the one above from 1-800-Flowers?  If you are anything like me and you don’t have any talent for arranging a beautiful centerpiece then leave it to the professionals!

Fun With Miss B

So last week I mentioned that Miss B called and wanted to spend the weekend with us.  Odd, I know.  I can’t even remember the last time that happened.

Funny thing happened- we had an awesome weekend together.  No attitude.  No staying in her room with the door closed.  She actually spent time with us.  We talked and laughed.  It was like we had the old Miss B back.

Remember how I was suspicious though because Crazy kept calling and asking when we were picking Miss B up.  Crazy never does that, so it made me wonder.  With good reason- but I’ll get into that later.

Crazy Parents

A couple of weeks ago when we had some nice weather for a few days we spent several afternoons at the park.  One particular day it was probably in the low 60’s- very, very nice for where we live on a November afternoon.  So, I had Peanut at the park playing on the playground.  Along came a little boy in his underwear.  He had his mother’s sweatshirt on but it was so big on him that he kept tripping over the bottom of it.  Then I noticed his hair was wet.  The little boy kept trying to take the sweatshrit off, you know- so he wouldn’t keep falling on his face.  And his mother said, “You have to leave that on.  Your clothes are all wet from swimming in the lake.”

Swimming in the lake?  It was a nice day- but the low 60’s seems a little cool to be swimming in the lake.  So after he tripped while trying to climb UP the slide (that annoys me to no end- you are supposed to go DOWN a slide) about 3 or 103 times because his feet kept getting stuck in the sweatshirt his mom decided it was time to leave.

People should have to take a test before they have children.
