Court

George and Crazy went to court.

I had prepared all of George’s documents.  Proof that Crazy agreed to the amount that George gave her.  She agreed that the money would cover an entire year.  She still denies it, even with written proof, and says she never agreed that amount would cover the whole year.  There was proof that George had given her additional money as well, when he could.  All of the income paperwork.  All sorts of forms that had to be filled out.  I think this was the main reason I didn’t want this whole thing to go to court- because I knew all of the paperwork would fall on to me.  I doubt that George even ever considered doing the paperwork, he just assumed I would take care of all of it.  Which annoys me to no end.

Anyways, the judge basically said that because George and Crazy had made their own arrangements outside of the court and decided to take care of things their own way, not using the court system, that he could not take into account any of the money that George had already given her.  Which basically means that the amount of money George gave Crazy that was supposed to cover 12 months, is now only covering 4 months.  And the judge will come up with a decision about how much George will have to pay from now on.  In the end, the judge did say he was going to keep in mind the money George had given even though he doesn’t legally have to.

We won’t know the decision for a few weeks.  But, in the end- I think it will be best this way.  Crazy won’t be able to use her usual threat of court anymore, so George won’t have to deal with that anymore.  The problem is that Crazy has really pushed a huge divide between us.  We had really worked out a lot of differences and everyone was getting along relatively well.  And she ruined it.
